PRODUCT INFORMATION -

The Angels are hand carved from nonendangered wood, by master carvers of the northern Philippine islands. 

Most of them, as noted, feature hand painted glass eyes.

The finishes are hand painted patinas which provide the beautiful aged, rustic look for which the Filipino artisans are justly famous.

As the wood ages, it will crack to a certain degree, especially in particularly dry climates.  We DO NOT recommend that you place your wooden item outside.

Cracking of the wood is not only normal for our products, but adds to their antique and rustic appearance.  The painted finish will also continue to age, with some cracking and peeling considered normal, as you will see in antique statues over time.

The "Assorted Angels" are small wooden cherubs in different poses; they range from 8" high for lying down styles, to 16" high for seated styles.  They feature hand-painted glass eyes and hand painted antique finishes.

All our Angels are individually handcarved.  Therefore, there are variations in the carving and finishes of each piece, even within the same style.  In this sense, they are truly one-of-a-kind.  The photographs below depict the ACTUAL Angels available for purchase.  Each is distinguished by its unique Item Number.  When you order an Angel, please refer to that Item Number.  You will receive the exact Angel depicted in the photograph, and when it is sold, a different Angel, its photograph, and a unique Item Number will replace the Item you bought.

The Lying on Side Angel style depicted below, can be purchased either leaning left (when you face the Angel), or leaning to the right, and can form a pair if you wish.

These handcarved wooden Angels can be hung on the wall and make beautiful decorative statements over a bed, a door, or any wall space.  They feature antique finishes and hand painted glass eyes.  They come with a screw eye attached on the back, at an angle, which can then allow for easy hanging from an angled nail in the wall.

The Angel figure lifts easily off its base, and the wings are also detachable, making this item easy to move, store, or ship.
